After the Social Media Masters Summit, I was lucky enough to have dinner with some amazing people from the conference including the founder and speakers.

It was great to chat and share stories with my new friends!

(And while I despise pictures of food... This tuna steak was too ridiculously tasty and ginormous not to document!)

Initial Thoughts on My New iPhone 4S

I just picked up the new iPhone 4S!

Since I'm currently in the lowly populated Northwoods I didn't need to sit in a line outside for the past 24 hours. Instead I rolled into the Verizon store around 3 pm and snagged the last black 32GB.

For the past few hours I've been downloading the necessary apps for business on the road (most notably Evernote). And the first thing that stands out is the computing speed of this thing. Granted, my last iPhone was the 3GS. So I'm unable to give a solid comparison. But for me, the phone and app operations are exceptional.

Moreover, the voice activation thing, Siri, actually works. Call me a pessimist, but whenever a technology this promising is released, it usually sucks. Surprisingly, it works pretty nicely. But since Siri takes more effort than I care to exert, it seems more of a novelty for me and it most likely will rarely see use.

All in all, though, I'm happy with the purchase. I'll be posting some follow up commentary when I can speak more accurately about the phone.

Helping my Dad Build a New Roof

My parent's house severely needed a new roof. So while I'm still up in the Northwoods, I'm helping my Dad build a new roof.

My current day to day:

Construction worker by morning, marketing consultant & web developer by afternoon, and launching a software startup by evening... ah, the life of an entrepreneur :)
